Last week we sent out a prayer request asking you to pray for Grace Church in
Here is an update, in answer to your prayers, from Pastor Alexander Timofeev.
Dear brothers and sisters!
We sincerely thank everyone, who was praying for our church. Today we've had a Court. We saw God's presence and felt your prayer support in everything. The Court minimized a measure of punishment. Our penalty is 10,000 rubles. In the future before the 1st of June we will have to eliminate several remarks and peacefully achieve abrogation of groundless accusations.
Please, continue to support us in your prayers, because we do not know what the fire marshal is going to do next. Their desire was to suspend the work of Grace Church.
We believe in sovereignty and mercy of our Lord! Through difficulties He teaches His children a lot. He works in so many ways. Today many of you have prayed with fasting. Thank you very much.

May you be encourage to continue to pray for this church, as you also continue to pray for our church/rehabilitation centre in Dzerjinsk, Russia, that is facing closure in 9-10 months, if they are unable to meet the fire marshal's demands.

This past Friday, Grace Church of Kirovo-Chepetsk, a city located ENE of Moscow, had her ministry suspended by the fire marshal. This decision was sent to Court.
Then yesterday we received word that "The fire marshal, as we would call him did submit the papers to the court, but there was no hearing yet. They will call & when they do, you have to go right away. The 62 charges are a wide range of things & the FM is suggesting that the judge condemn the building. What that means is they can not use it to meet in until up to code & they cannot rent a school. This is serious stuff & could costs thousands of dollars to fix. This is in God's hands & we need to pray."
Today, we received word from the pastor of Grace Church that "The Court will be on Monday on the 29th of January. Please, continue praying!!!"
Will you join us in praying for this church? We also have another church that is facing the same kind of scrutiny, but they have 9 months left to make corrections. We are seeking to raise funds to assist her to do so, before her ministry is suspended as well.

Please join us in praying for the special Christmas programs that are underway now across the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Pray for Immanuel's Child as pastors and congregations will be making arrangements for securing a meeting place, purchasing gifts, and sending out invitations to unchurched children and their families to come to this program of evangelism. We are very grateful for the response of our Canadian churches this year, which was significant. Pray that many children and their parents, grandparents and extended families will repent this Christmas.
Also pray for the Christmas for Orphans program. Gifts given
through this program provide a Russian orphan with a wrapped Christmas gift of
their very own, Russian-language Christian literature, and warm clothing or
other much-needed items. These gifts will be purchased overseas and distributed
by local evangelical churches across the former

Welcome to the official Canadian website of SGA Canada. Our website will officially launch November 1st, 2006. During the next two weeks we will be seeking to iron out any bugs that we may discover. We thank you for your patience during this period.
Lord willing, we will have our Canadian donate page in place by November 1st. However, should this not happen as planned, you may still use the existing donate page, through which funds will be channeled to our Canadian office.
